Here are some tips for preserving your cigar boxes. This procedure is recommended for both wooden and paper boxes: Preserve Work in a well ventilated area. Cover your work area with a drop clothe. Spray the boxes with several light coats of high gloss spar urethane, both inside and out. Let dry completely between applications. Be patient - light coats work best, holding the can at least 12 inches from the box. If you go too heavy on spraying, it will run and drip. A total of 4 coats will work well for any conditions.
